JULY / AUGUST 2023 MEETINGS NOTICE

AS OF JULY 6, 2023

 

Notice is hereby given that more than one Eustis City Commissioner may attend and discuss matters relevant to the City of Eustis at the following public meetings and community events:

  • Lake County League of Cities Monthly Meeting (2nd Friday) – Friday, July 14, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon), Mount Dora Golf Course, 1100 S. Highland St., Mount Dora FL.
  • Northshore Neighborhood Watch Meeting – (Every other month the 3rd Wednesday) July 19, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Eustis Community Center (Lakeview Room) located at 601 Northshore Dr, Eustis, FL.
  • Summer Send Off – Saturday, July 22, 2023 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Ferran Park located at 250 Ferran Park Drive, Eustis, FL 32726.
  • Pins with the Police – Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. @ Lakeside Lanes located at 1950 Classique Lane, Tavares, FL  32778.
  • Breakfast with Eustis Police Department Retirees – Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. at Jeannie’s Place located at Grove Square Shopping Center, 209 E Gottsche Ave, Eustis, FL 32726.
  • Lake Eustis Area Chamber of Commerce Member Breakfast – (1st Wednesday) Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 7:15 a.m., Eustis Community Center located at 601 Northshore Dr., Eustis, FL.

EUSTIS CITY COMMISSION BUDGET WORKSHOPS

TUESDAY, JULY 11, 2023 – 5:30 P.M.
THURSDAY, JULY 13, 2023 – 5:30 P.M.
TUESDAY, JULY 25, 2023 – 5:30 P.M.
THURSDAY, JULY 27, 2023 – 5:30 P.M.

The Eustis City Commission will hold budget workshops on Tuesday. July 11, 2023, Thursday, July 13, 2023, Tuesday, July 25, 2023 and Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. in the Commission Room, located in City Hall at 10 N. Grove Street, Eustis FL. The purpose of the meeting is to hear a presentation regarding the preliminary budget for FY2023-24 with anticipated revenues. The agenda for each meeting will be available through the City’s website or by contacting the City Clerk at cityclerk@eustis.org or by telephone at (352) 483-5430.

LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY MEETING

RE: Ordinance Numbers 23-13 and 23-19

Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 5:30 p.m.

On Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 5:30 p.m., the Eustis City Commission sitting as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) will meet and hold a Public Hearing regarding the following items: Ordinance Numbers 23-13 and 23-19. The meeting will be held in the City Hall Commission Room, located at 10 N. Grove St., Eustis, FL. The agenda and information pertaining to the business of the LPA will be available through the City's website or through the City Clerk's office, located in City Hall at 10 N. Grove Street during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

NOTICE OF WORKSHOP

MONDAY, JULY 10, 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Eustis City Commission will conduct a workshop on Monday, July 10, 2023, at 10:30 a.m.  Discussion topics are generally concerning various issues regarding the downtown area including but not limited to the following: 1) Car shows; 2) Events update; 3) Downtown street trees; 4) Waterman site/master plan update; 5) UCF incubator update; and 6) State Road 19 pedestrian improvement project update.  The workshop will be held in the Commission Room, City Hall, 10 N. Grove St., Eustis, FL 32726.  The agenda will be available on the City’s website or through the City Clerk’s office, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., located in City Hall, 10 N. Grove Street, Eustis FL 32726.

Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 5:45 p.m.

On Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 5:45 p.m., the Eustis City Commission sitting as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) will meet and hold a Public Hearing regarding the following items: Ordinance Number 23-16. The meeting will be held in the City Hall Commission Room, located at 10 N. Grove St., Eustis, FL. The agenda and information pertaining to the business of the LPA will be available through the City's website or through the City Clerk's office, located in City Hall at 10 N. Grove Street during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Commission, Agency or other above-named Board with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (Florida Statutes, 286.0105).  Persons with disabilities needing assistance to participate in any of these proceedings should contact the office of the City Clerk at (352) 483-5430, at least 48 hours before the date of the scheduled meeting.
