Project Map

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is continuing safety and operational enhancements on State Road (S.R.) 19, from north of Stevens Avenue to County Road 452 in Eustis. The projects involve the resurfacing of the northbound and southbound lanes on State Road (S.R.) 19, known in Eustis as Grove Street and Bay Street. Beginning on October 20, there will be overnight intersection closures along both southbound and northbound S.R. 19, though only one intersection at one time each night.

Daily road and lane closures for the next week, August 17 - August 23, include:

Road closures

Night

  • Overnight on Sunday, August 17, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Motorists should expect a northbound State Road (S.R.) 19 (Grove Street) road closure between East Citrus Avenue and East Orange Avenue to install traffic signal strain poles just south of East Orange Avenue with a minimal disruption to daytime travel.

Note: Also, for a few hours after these poles are set, East Orange will be closed between Bay and Grove streets to erect other signal poles. This operation will not require a closure of S.R. 19 southbound.

Detour information:

  • Motorists wishing to continue north on S.R. 19 should turn left on South Eustis Street and right on East Orange Avenue to return to northbound S.R. 19.

Lane closures

Day

  • Daytime on Sunday, August 17 - Friday, Aug. 22, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.: Motorists should expect overnight rotating right and left lane closures as needed on southbound and northbound State Road (S.R.) 19, for signal work and landscaping.

Night

  • Overnight on Sunday, August 17 - overnight Friday, Aug. 22, from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.: Motorists should expect overnight rotating right and left lane closures on northbound State Road (S.R.) 19 (Grove Street), for paving, signal pole installation, signal work, and paving.
