Mayor and Vice Mayor Elected for 2023

At the Annual Organizational Meeting held on Jan. 5, 2023, the Commission formally
re-elected Commissioner Michael Holland to serve as Mayor and re-elected Commissioner Emily Lee to serve as Vice Mayor for the City of Eustis. Holland and Lee will serve in their respective roles through December 2026.
Holland is a Eustis native and a graduate of Eustis High School. He attended Lake Sumter State College and graduated from Gupton-Jones College with a degree in Mortuary Science. Holland is the 3rd generation of his family to call Eustis home. While in high school, he worked in his grandparent's furniture store, where he learned the importance of hard work and personal responsibility.
Lee received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and a Master of Science in Counseling from Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota. Her career includes teaching, school counselor, juvenile probation officer, and Lake County Director of Children's Services.
For over twenty years, Lee has served the Lake County Community by developing and coordinating the implementation of programs to improve the lives of children and families. Her three sons and their children are her greatest source of joy and pride. Lee takes great joy and satisfaction in being involved in the community.
The City of Eustis has a commission-manager form of government. The Commission consists of five numbered seats. Commissioners are elected for staggered four-year terms, with elections held in even-numbered years. Elections are non-partisan.
