Notice is hereby given that more than one Eustis City Commissioner may attend and discuss matters relevant to the City of Eustis at the following public meetings and community events:

EUSTIS CITY COMMISSION
NOTICE OF APPLICATION PERIOD
FOR APPOINTMENT OF INTERIM COMMISSIONER

Notice is hereby given that the Eustis City Commission will accept applications for appointment as Interim City Commissioner, Seat #4.  The application period will be from 8 a.m. Monday, August 19 through 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 30, 2024.  Applications are available in the City Clerk’s office and must be submitted along with the applicant’s voter’s registration card and a Florida photo ID such as a driver’s license.  Applicants must be registered voters of the City of Eustis and have resided within the City for a period of at least one year or have resided on recently annexed property for a period of at least one year including time before and after annexation.  The term of office for the Interim Commissioner will be from the date of appointment until the elected replacement is sworn in following certification of the November 2024 election.  The newly elected Commissioner will be sworn in at the first regular meeting in January 2025. CITY OF EUSTIS
NOTICE OF COMMUNITY MEETING

Notice is hereby given that a Community Meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 5:15 P.M. at the City of Eustis City Commission Room, 10 N. Grove St., Eustis, FL to discuss the following: Revising a proposed 60-unit single-family residential subdivision on approximately 24.96 acres of property, located on the north side of Pine Meadows Golf Course Road, south of the intersection of Orange Avenue and Beach Drive (Alternate Key Numbers 3907758, 2831634, and 1588243). This Community Meeting is an opportunity for the neighbors in the area to review the proposed subdivision and provide input to the applicant, prior to formal re-submission to the City. 

 

If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Commission, Agency or other above-named Board with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (Florida Statutes, 286.0105).  Persons with disabilities needing assistance to participate in any of these proceedings should contact the office of the City Clerk at (352) 483-5430, at least 48 hours before the date of the scheduled meeting.
