Eustis City Manager Tom Carrino spoke to the Lake County Golden Triangle Rotary club on Thursday at the Country Club of Mount Dora. Carrino presented an overview of the city's current and future growth, including new residential areas, new business and industry, and planned developments. He also discussed the numerous public works projects underway to improve and expand the city's current infrastructure in order to accommodate the increase in population.
Carrino said the City Commission has done a tremendous job in helping to craft guidelines that ensure new residential areas are more aesthetically appealing by varying lot sizes and incorporating green space requirements. He also thanked Rep. Keith Truenow, who was in attendance, for his assistance on the legislative level in helping the City procure funding for projects. Carrino has been with the City of Eustis for nearly ten years, first, as Economic Development Director, and currently as City Manager for two and a half years.
