According to a Duke Energy spokesperson, the clearing will begin on the north end of the project near Walgreens on State Road 19 near County Road 44 and continue south, weather permitting.
The project’s scope includes relocating 1.4 miles along a new route which allows for the removal of the transmission lines in Ferran Park and along Northshore Drive, with an upgraded transmission line built on steel monopoles 90 to 150 feet above the ground.
