All of the students at the Modern Schoolhouse in Eustis surprised City employee Faye Shepherd Tuesday morning with balloons, flowers, a gift basket with snacks and their heartfelt appreciation. Mikkale Alford, program administrator at the school, said the children often see Faye as she performs her job around Ferran Park and they wanted to surprise her. The children each also wrote a note to Faye, saying that any time she has a bad day, all she has to do is read their notes and she'll smile!
