A portion of Getford Road will be closed beginning February 19, 2024.
The City of Eustis, in collaboration with Cathcart Construction Company, will begin Phase One work Monday, February 19, 2024, for the installation of a new water pipe and gravity sewer system, incorporating manholes, along a section of Getford Road, which will be closed to through traffic. City staff is proactively working with the Contractor to ensure that residents and emergency vehicles will have continuing access.
The City has requested that the Contractor reopen Sellen Drive as soon as that portion of Getford Road is complete, and there will be flag crews as needed for the residents on Jules Court, Jean Court and Louis Court. Based on Cathhart’s schedule, their crew will begin roadway surface demolition in early March and will continue on this portion of the road until approximately the end of May.
Phase Two will include the entirety of Coolidge Street and Phase Three will include a section of Bates Avenue. City residents will receive updates as the work in each phase begins and ends.
