During the Eustis Back to School Bash, local first responders participated in the Annual Golden Triangle Battle of the Badges. Held in July, the mission of the event was to both bring awareness to the need for blood donation and to SAVE LIVES. The local community, including representatives from various responding agencies responded in a big way. A total of 20 units were collected during the 5 hour event, saving 60 lives.
The Eustis Fire Department and Eustis Police Department tied for the most donations in their honor.
Whitney Gray, Account Representative from One Blood recently presented the teams with the traveling trophy, which will be proudly displayed in our City for the next year.
