Due to a recent lightning storm, the Grand Island water treatment plant was severely damaged and is temporarily out of service. To maintain service, residents in the Grand Island area are receiving water from an alternate plant and may notice lower-than-normal water pressure.Repair crews are working now, and we expect the Grand Island plant to be back online within 48 hours.
The St. John's River Water Management District has issued a Phase III Extreme Water Shortage Order, which included Lake County. Restrictions include: One day a week watering, odd numbered addresses on Saturday, even numbered addresses on Sunday, nonresidential on Tuesday, and prohibited between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Please be advised that a property can only be split once under a simple Lot Split. Chapter 177 of the Florida Statutes defines a subdivision as (18)“Subdivision” means the division of land into three or more lots, parcels, tracts, tiers, blocks, sites, units, or any other division of land; and includes establishment of new streets and alleys, additions, and resubdivisions; and, when appropriate to the context, relates to the process of subdividing or to the lands or area subdivided.
One split is allowed to be done on a single property, and to further split it afterwards, platting would need to be done. Eustis regulations on minor replats and lot splits are available on Municode here.
A Development Application may be used for applying for a lot split, along with an application checklist. Below is the application to submit a request.
