Our 2025 Salute to Veterans will be on Saturday, Nov. 8 in Ferran Park and Downtown Eustis.
We are excited to announce the return of the Phantom Airborne Brigade paratroopers, who will be conducting a Veteran's Day Tribute Jump into Lake Eustis to honor our veterans and active duty service members. The purpose of the Veteran's Day Tribute Jump is to conduct a military training jump, as well as to serve as a recreation and rehabilitation tool for our Veterans and Active-Duty service members. The jump will start at 8 a.m. and will be followed by the annual Salute to Veterans Parade.
We are pleased to announce an inspiring addition to our Salute to Veterans program, our first annual Wreaths of Honor project. Please join us at the City of Eustis tent in Ferran Park from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., where we invite you to decorate a wreath to lay on any marked grave of a Veteran who is buried in the Greenwood Cemetery located at 220 Haselton St. Eustis, Fl 32726.
If a veteran family member of yours is buried in a local private cemetery we of course invite you to decorate and place a wreath at their honored resting place.
Additional activities include the 2-Mile Dash, beginning at 8:30 a.m., sponsored by our Eustis Parks and Recreation Team. Run in honor of your favorite Veteran or to support the many youth programs hosted by the City of Eustis. Register early to save $5. The annual parade will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, and will head down Eustis Street from Gottsche Ave. to Woodward Ave., and the Ceremony of Honor on the bandshell stage immediately following at 3:00 p.m.
