On Thursday, April 4, 2025, Mayor Willie Hawkins joined the Eustis community at Panther Park to celebrate Eustis High School’s Baseball Senior Night, honoring the achievements of the team’s graduating players and participating in a cherished tradition—throwing out the ceremonial first pitch.

The evening recognized 11 senior athletes for their dedication, leadership, and sportsmanship throughout their time at Eustis High: Dallas Rasmussen, Israel Green, Wyatt Cumbie, Jacob Lucroy, Nathan Garcia, Bryson Tome`, Andrew Walker, Sean Griffin, Derick Del Toro, Chris Bullion, and Couper Gatch.

“These student-athletes are a testament to what makes Eustis a special place,” said Mayor Hawkins. “They’ve shown incredible commitment to their team, school, and city, and I was honored to be part of this milestone moment.”

Head Coach Tony Thomas also expressed his pride in the seniors: “This group has set the tone for what it means to be a Panther. They’ve led by example, put in the work, and created a lasting legacy for our program,” said Coach Thomas. “Having the Mayor join us made the night even more meaningful for the players and their families.”

The event drew support from families, classmates, school staff, and community members—all celebrating the Panthers’ hard work and the bright futures ahead of each senior. For additional photos or press inquiries, please contact the City of Eustis Public Information Office.
