The Building Department is a one-stop shop for all construction permit and inspection needs. The department reviews construction plans, issues permits and performs inspections to ensure building projects are built safely and in compliance with state and local codes and regulations, helping to create a vibrant, livable and safe-built community.
* Please be advised that the estimated permit plan review time is as follows:
- Planning/Sr. Fire Inspector: 10 to 14 business days
- Building Official: 10 to 14 days
Following reviews by planning, building, and fire, may be an additional day or so for administrative processing. The review time is the same for all permits whether a revision or new submittal.
Based on feedback from our customers, the deadline for scheduling a next day inspection with the Eustis Building Department will now be 5:00 p.m. in the online portal. Inspections scheduled through e-mail or by phone will maintain the 3:30PM cutoff. We will continue to monitor our timelines to provide the most efficient level of service.
