The St. John's River Water Management District has issued a Phase III Extreme Water Shortage Order, which included Lake County. Restrictions include: One day a week watering, odd numbered addresses on Saturday, even numbered addresses on Sunday, nonresidential on Tuesday, and prohibited between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Central Florida Zoo will bring interactive activities and real rainforest animals to transport kids to the rainforests. The show will teach children the reasons this important ecosystem is threatened and ways each of us can help save it.
