Make a Japanese New Year's Card on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the Eustis Memorial Library

Adults will create their own New Year's cards using watercolor paints. The session will include:

  • A short introduction to traditional Japanese New Year's cards (nengajo), which are sent to friends and family to celebrate the new year.

  • A brief explanation of the Chinese zodiac (eto), highlighting that next year is the Year of the Horse. Participants can include horse-themed drawings on their cards.

The program is designed to be fun and accessible for all skill levels, offering a hands-on cultural experience and a personal New Year's card to take home.
