Due to a recent lightning storm, the Grand Island water treatment plant was severely damaged and is temporarily out of service. To maintain service, residents in the Grand Island area are receiving water from an alternate plant and may notice lower-than-normal water pressure.Repair crews are working now, and we expect the Grand Island plant to be back online within 48 hours.
The St. John's River Water Management District has issued a Phase III Extreme Water Shortage Order, which included Lake County. Restrictions include: One day a week watering, odd numbered addresses on Saturday, even numbered addresses on Sunday, nonresidential on Tuesday, and prohibited between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The theme for the 2025 Daddy-Daughter Dance is “Old Hollywood.” Be a blast from the past and dress up like your favorite film star, all while enjoying a night out with your Hollywood princess. Tickets include: dinner, dancing, door prizes, a prize for “Best Costume” and the crowd favorite- Best Daddy-Daughter Dance.
The event will be on Saturday, January 18 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Eustis Community Center. Tickets are $35 per couple with $15 for each additional daughter.
