Watering Restrictions Update

The St. John's River Water Management District (SJRWMD) issued a Phase III Extreme Water Shortage Order on Monday, May 11, 2026, that included Lake County. Of particular note is the restriction of landscape irrigation from two days to one day a week with odd numbered addresses on Saturday, even numbered addresses on Sunday, nonresidential on Tuesday, and prohibited between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Please visit https://www.sjrwmd.com/wateringrestrictions/ for additional information.

  • An odd numbered address is one that ends in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9.
  • An even numbered address is one that ends in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8.
  • Water only when needed and not between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
  • Irrigation is limited to no more than three-quarters of an inch of water per zone and no more than one hour per zone on your scheduled day.
  • Restrictions apply to private wells and pumps, ground or surface water and water from public and private utilities.
