Watering Restrictions Update

The St. John's River Water Management District (SJRWMD) issued a Phase III Extreme Water Shortage Order on Monday, May 11, 2026, that included Lake County. Of particular note is the restriction of landscape irrigation from two days to one day a week with odd numbered addresses on Saturday, even numbered addresses on Sunday, nonresidential on Tuesday, and prohibited between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Please visit https://www.sjrwmd.com/wateringrestrictions/ for additional information.

An odd numbered address is one that ends in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9. An even numbered address is one that ends in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8. Water only when needed and not between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Irrigation is limited to no more than three-quarters of an inch of water per zone and no more than one hour per zone on your scheduled day. Restrictions apply to private wells and pumps, ground or surface water and water from public and private utilities.
