Tropical Storm Nicole Preparation for Eustis Residents

Lake County Emergency Management and the City of Eustis Emergency Operations Team have been tracking Tropical Storm Nicole to prepare for the impact.

Please review the important information for Eustis residents below:

 

  • The City Administrative Offices will be closed on Thursday, November 10, due to Tropical Storm Nicole. City offices are also closed Friday, November 11, for Veterans Day. Offices will resume operations on Monday, November 14.   We still plan to have our Salute to Veterans event Saturday, November 12, in Ferran Park.

 

  • The City of Eustis has sandbags available at the Eustis Fire Department Station 22, located at 100 W. Norton Avenue. Sandbags and shovels are provided. Self-service sandbags are limited to 10 bags per household (while supplies last).

 

  • The Eustis Memorial Library will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, through Sunday, November 13, and re-open on Monday, November 14. 

 

  • All Parks and Recreation programs, activities, and rentals are canceled for Thursday, November 10.

 

  • In preparation for the storm, please secure or remove any loose items outside your home or business to reduce the possibility of windblown debris.

  • Garbage and Recycling (Waste Management) collection for Thursday, November 10, will be impacted. Thursday’s collection service will be picked up Friday. At this time, Friday's scheduled collection will still be picked up on Sat., November 12. Also, please refrain from placing any items at the curb for bulk or yard waste pick-up and report any items that are currently at your curb immediately.
