The St. John's River Water Management District has issued a Phase III Extreme Water Shortage Order, which included Lake County. Restrictions include: One day a week watering, odd numbered addresses on Saturday, even numbered addresses on Sunday, nonresidential on Tuesday, and prohibited between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The City of Eustis is pleased to introduce Mike Bishop as the new Director of Economic Development.
Bishop comes to Eustis from the Tampa Bay area, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of South Florida and previously served as the Senior Vice President of the Pasco County Economic Development Council (EDC). His extensive background in commercial real estate, manufacturing, business retention and private-sector operations gives him a firsthand perspective on the opportunities and challenges local employers and entrepreneurs face.
As Director of Economic Development, Bishop will implement economic growth strategies to support business retention and expansion while strengthening relationships with the City’s businesses, education and workforce development communities.
“We are excited to welcome Mike Bishop as the City’s new Director of Economic Development,” said Interim City Manager Rick Gierok. “Mike brings a strong mix of economic development experience, private-sector knowledge and relationship-building skills. He will be an important part of Eustis’ progress.”
Bishop said he looks forward to serving as a resource for the business community and supporting thoughtful economic growth throughout the city.
He and his wife, Erin, have three children.
