Execution of search warrant results in three arrests

 

Eustis, FL –  During the early morning hours of May 10, 2013, Eustis Police Department detectives executed a search warrant at 1507 Bates Avenue, Eustis, FL with the assistance of Eustis SWAT team. This property is owned and managed by the Eustis Housing Authority. The warrant was issued by a judge after the Eustis Police Department conducted an extensive investigation into the allegation of illegal narcotics being sold from the home.    more

One Dane Place now open on Magnolia Avenue

 

Eustis, FL –  One Dane Place opened their doors as a "Crafts and More", art and craft consignment shop, new to Eustis in October 2012. Cyndi Haapapuro and Andy Rutigliano started with a storefront on Grove Street in Eustis with only 1,200 square feet and 15 contributing artists and crafters. By December 2012, they outgrew the store and renovated an adjacent building for an additional 1,200 square feet to accommodate the incredible talent in the Golden Triangle area.   more

Library scheduled to close for parking lot paving

The extensive project will require closing the Library building and closing the parking lot to automobile and foot traffic from April 8th – April 17th. Eustis, FL –   Greater Orlando Actors Theatre in association with the Bay Street Players will present two Bay Street Players’ Second Stage productions at the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre. Last season Bay Street Players hosted the Greater Orlando Actor Theatre’s (GOAT) production of Next to Normal at the historic State Theatre in downtown Eustis. Now GOAT is reciprocating by hosting two of BSP’s latest offerings to be performed at the Mandel Theatre in the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, 812 E. Rollins St., Orlando (Loch Haven Park). God of Carnage, Yasmina Reza’s tale of parents behaving badly, and Richard Dresser’s Rounding Third, a comedy about a couple of mismatched little league coaches will be performed by the original casts that performed them at the State Theatre. more
