2010 Election Proclamation

 

The City of Eustis City Commission election will be held on November 2, 2010 on the same ballot as the General Election.  There are two seats up for election and five candidates have qualified to run.  Seat #1 has been held by Albert G. Eckian and Seat #2 has been held by Karen LeHeup-Smith.  Both incumbents did not file to run again.

 

Polls will be open for the General Election from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  To find out what polling location you cast your vote, please visit the Lake County Supervisor of Election’s website at http://elections.lakecountyfl.gov and click on the Polling Place information link or call their office at (352) 343-9734.

 

Under the voting system being used in Lake County, absentee ballots for the Eustis Election will be handled by the Supervisor of Elections of Lake County. 

 

Any qualified registered voter in Eustis is entitled to vote an absentee ballot.  The ballot may be requested in person during normal working hours (315 West Main Street, Room 144, Tavares), by mail (P.O. Drawer 457, Tavares, FL 32778), e-mail (elections@lakecountyfl.gov), or by phone (352.343.9734). 

 

ONLY the voter or a designated family member may request a ballot for the voter.  The voter may go to the Elections Office and vote an absentee ballot.

 

Absentee ballots must be returned to the Supervisor of Elections Office no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.  An absentee ballot cannot be accepted at a polling location.

 

Voting

 

All electors who have registered to vote prior to October 4, 2010 will be qualified to vote at the City election on November 2, 2010.

 

The Eustis Memorial Library's Community Room (120 N. Center Street) will be open for Early Voting at the dates / times shown on the right.

 

Voter Registration is open until October 4th at the office of the Lake County Supervisor of Elections, 315 West Main Street, Room 144, Tavares, Florida.  Online Voter Registration Application, Absentee Ballot Request Form, Polling Place information, etc., are available at http://elections.lakecountyfl.gov or call (352) 343-9734.
