Business Tax Receipts (formally Occupational Licensing) is administered through this department.  All businesses are required to apply for the tax receipt certificate.  Those in a commercial establishment will go through Development Service, Police and Fire Departments to ensure City codes are up to standards.  Home occupations may be subject to additional review depending on the type of business conducted from the home.

Responsibilities of the Program for Property Records, Insurance Management, and Business Tax Receipts Office include:

  • Claims for General Property and Liability

  • Business Tax Receipt Requirements

  • Location of City Owned Property

  • Annual City Auction

  • Inventory of City Owned Assets

  • Records Retention Information

All property and liability claims will process through this department.  All forms must be completed before submittal to our insurance company.  The City of Eustis will not make any determination regarding responsibility.  The insurance company will base the decision  on the facts presented and any legal basis which applies to the situation.
