The Finance Division
maintains fiscal responsibility in the delivery of municipal
services through the provision of timely, complete and accurate
financial information. All financial transactions are
prepared in a timely manner in accordance with generally
accepted governmental accounting principles as well as local,
state and federal laws. Annual audits are provided by an
external audit firm to ensure the city is in compliance.
Additionally, this process is augmented by our annual submittal
of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, to the Government
Finance Officers Association (GFOA). The City has been
recognized for “Excellence in Financial Reporting" for 22
consecutive years by GFOA.
In addition to the
services provided below, the Finance Department is responsible
for the daily operations of the
Purchasing Department,
Water Customer Service
and the
Business Tax Receipts
office.
