Cephas Wong:  Influence and Inspiration

"Influence and Inspiration" showcases 27, large rice paper scrolls featuring dramatic landscapes painted by internationally revered Singaporean artist Cephas Wong.  This exhibition is on display at the Lake Eustis Museum of Art located at 200 E. Orange Avenue and the City Hall Gallery located on 10 N. Grove Street on September 25 through November 29.

    11th Annual Lake County Folk Festival

The 11th Annual Lake County Folk Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday, October 11 & 12, 2008.  This festival has grown to encompass Eustis' historic downtown district, Ferran Park and lakefront, and the Lake Eustis Historical Museum grounds.

This event is free to the public and is run with volunteers and community support.  All donations and proceeds from the fundraising events go to pay musicians and festival costs.  Please add your support to a true family oriented community event.

Relic Hunt “Edutainment” Week

Features Dr. Edgar J. Banks, a Real Indiana Jones, Ancient Tablet Exhibit

During the week of November 2-9, 2008, the year-long Eustis 125^th Anniversary Celebration will conclude with a family “edutainment” fun week spotlighting the life of Dr. Edgar J. Banks, the former Eustis resident, filmmaker, and Middle-Eastern archeological expert who many believe to be the inspiration behind the popular film character, Indiana Jones.
